Evian
This
week has been marked by the launch of the brand new Evian limited edition
collection. This year, Evian collaborated with the fashion designer Elie Saab
around the theme of Purity.
The launch was
announced on Facebook with a teaser posted on October 4th: “A
tribute to purity- coming soon”. The bottle was then presented on Social Media
on October 7th with a 25 second video and some pictures. In
addition, the Evian team has changed the cover picture of its Facebook account.
On
the Evian U.S. website, an announcement was posted with a direct link to a
microsite. The promotional website starts with the mini clip video and then
presents three rubrics: Elie Sabb/Evian/The bottle. The general design of the
website is elegant and sober, reflecting the Bottle’s attributes. http://www.eliesaab.evian.com/.
The
Bottle is now available for purchase on Evian’s e-boutique ($6.99 per unit) and
also at some selected restaurants and hotels.
The Evian
limited edition collection first launched in 1992 with the Olympic Games
limited edition bottle. This glass bottle was the latest in a line spanning 6
years of Evian associating itself with international fashion designers such as
Jean-Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith and Christian Lacroix.
